Match Debrief: Sláinte Athletic 8 – 0 NPC Fútbol
A new week. The same fire. The bar just got raised.
Sláinte Athletic sent a message across the league on Sunday morning with a blistering 8–0 win over NPC Fútbol. Ruthless in front of goal, organized in defense, and relentless in the press—this was a performance built on trust, discipline, and hunger.
Two games into the Spring 2025 campaign, and Aaron Burbridge’s side looks every bit a promotion contender. Every substitution made an impact. Every unit clicked. And for the second week running, Sláinte showed there’s no ceiling on what this group can become.

Match Highlights
It didn’t take long for the floodgates to open.
In the 4th minute, Andres Perez got on the end of a slotted pass from Brigham and made no mistake—calm, clinical, 1-0. Just a minute later, Ngobu curled a cross in from the left and found Arlie Hitt at the Near post, who made no mistake with the finish. 2-0 inside five minutes.
At the 25-minute mark, Hitt returned the favor with a well-placed assist that Perez buried to complete his brace. Moments later, Ngobu capitalized on a defensive mistake to smash in his first goal of the match.
Sláinte’s fifth came from a smart set piece in the 36th minute—Meyers delivered a low front-post ball that Ngobu darted in to meet for his second of the day.
Halftime: Sláinte 5, NPC 0.
The second half brought more of the same. In the 62nd, Iddriss cut into the box and slipped a pass to Burruss, who curled home with the help of the keeper. The seventh goal came in the 72nd minute: Iddriss fired a shot off the keeper into the feet of Garrett Peters who finished calmly in his debut.
Captain Danny Hallowell put the finishing touch on the performance in the 85th, converting from the spot after a late foul in the box.
